Current Objective: To eventually obtain a PhD in Sociology or another related field, with the eventual goal of academia or community-based field work



Topics of Interest:

Immigration, analysis of regional culture

Central Valley development

Functionality of the non-profit system

Political systems ideal versus actual levels of representation

Regional inequality

Native American studies and regional nonprofit collaboratives.

Potential Research Topic:

The Kern County Network for Children: Overcoming the Obstacles of the Nonprofit Sector through Regional Collaboration. Conditions of the Central Valley that prevent its development, and the role non-profits have played to date (and can play in the future)

Languages:

English, a tiny bit of Spanish

Foods:

Oatmeal, jamba juice, and anything that’s free or made by my mom

Pastimes:

Rock climbing, yoga, baking, playing the alto saxophone, music/art (in any way, shape, or form)
